Patrick Wisdom hit a walk off home run today (Wednesday) in the intrasquad scrimmage with coaches pitching. The Cardinals are taking a day off Thursday with their Grapefruit League opener on Friday against Miami. Congrats to Tyrell Jenkins who announced on twitter that he threw a bullpen for the first time post-surgery and also to Kurt Heyer who was promoted to big league camp on Sunday.

According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Jason Motte likely won’t be ready for Opening Day. The Chiefs will honor Motte, a 2003 Peoria catcher, on July 26 as the first 1000 fans get a bobblehead.

Ozzie Smith wants to make Opening Day a national holiday! Ozzie will be at Dozer Park for IPMR night on June 14 and the first 1,000 fans on June 13 get Hall of Fame Ozzie Smith bobbleheads!
