Saturday Game Notes. Photos of Clinton

It is our last day in Clinton, checking out of the hotel in about 30 minutes. Last night was a 5-3 loss for the Chiefs, catch the game recap from Dave Eminian of the Peoria Journal Star.

Today we get our 2nd look at 2013 first round draft pick Rob Kaminsky as he faces the LumberKings. Rob threw in Cedar Rapids last Sunday, just a few hours after arriving in Iowa, and allowed one earned runs over four innings in a 2-0 loss. Here are today’s Game Notes and I’ll have the lineup on twitter after we get to the stadium.

Speaking of the stadium, Ashford University Field was built in 1937 as Riverwalk Stadium. The field you’ll see in the slideshow plus a two-lane road is all that separates the ballpark from the Mississippi River. The ballpark was renovated in 2005 as Alliant Energy Field with a couple party areas, concession stand, new home clubhouse and new outfield fence.
